Who Qualifies for Locals of Texas

A directory built for the small, independent businesses that give Texas communities their character.

Who we list

Locals of Texas welcomes the small businesses, family-run shops, home-based brands, mobile services, and market vendors that keep Texas communities going. We list businesses that are locally owned and serve customers in Texas — whether you operate from a storefront, a service area, your home, a truck, or online.

  • Home-based businesses — bakers, makers, tutors, consultants, and creators working from home
  • Storefront shops & restaurants — independently owned places with a fixed Texas address
  • Service providers — plumbers, electricians, landscapers, cleaners, and trades that travel to customers
  • Mobile vendors & market sellers — food trucks, farmers' market regulars, and pop-up brands
  • Texas-based online businesses — e-commerce, digital services, and online creators headquartered in Texas

Who we don't list

National chains, franchises of large brands, multi-level marketing organizations, and businesses that don't actually serve Texas. We also turn down submissions that look spammy, duplicate an existing listing, or violate our Terms of Use.
